Burano is the farthest away of these popular spots, famous for its pastel-colored houses and its lace. Venetian lace was another world-famous product produced by Venetian artisans. Today the practice still thrives. If the weather is good, buy an ice cream at one of the many pizzerias and explore the lagoons and alleyways.
There are island tours that will take you to multiple stops along the way, including other places like the holy island Torcello. Alternatively, you can take a water taxi, or go it like a local with the vaporetto (water bus) services.
