Australians Are Uncultured
Although the image of a rough-and-ready bushman like Steve Irwin has been the way many people have seen Australians for decades, there is so much more to celebrate in Australian culture that doesn’t necessarily make it all the way to North America. The Indigenous Australian oral tradition was a huge part of life before the British settlers arrived, and now many Indigenous artists are using new mediums to keep their traditions alive. More Australians attend city museums and art galleries than most other countries in the world.
