Top 6 Reasons Israel Has the Best Food in the World

One word: Falafel

Deserving of a category all its own, by far my favorite Israeli food (and the food that most Israelis miss when they leave) is falafel.

Israelis have updated falafel from the traditional Arabic presentation of small chickpea balls with tahini. This vegetarian (and vegan!) dream is cheap, under $4 in most places. It is delicious, portable, and distinctly Israeli.
