A booming source of copper in the early 20th century, Kennecott was quickly depleted of its mineral stores and consequently was no longer an ideal location to live in. Back in the day this town even had its own skating rink in the winter and tennis court for use in the summer. Today, it’s too remote for adequate inhabitation.
