In the 6: Toronto Festivals Worth Attending
| May 19, 2017
The Word on the Street
The Word on the Street is a literary festival celebrating the best writers Canada has to offer. Although it moves around frequently, it has been occurring regularly since 1990. Last year, it featured over 250 exhibitors, displaying books and magazines from both large and small publishers. Entry to the festival is free, and it takes place outside, so people can browse the stalls and hear readings of both poetry and prose, while enjoying the beautiful September weather.
