The 12 Best European Holiday Towns to Visit this Fall
| September 14, 2018
10. Corfu, Greece
The island of Corfu has been a popular tourist destination for centuries, and regularly attracts new and returning visitors with their gorgeous beaches and Mediterranean climate that rarely sees rain at all during the summer months. Corfu Town, or Kerkira, is the largest city on the island, and is likely where you’ll disembark if arriving via a ferry or airplane. The sandy beaches on the southern part of the island are popular with visitors, but you can also visit the village of Nymphes, which is home to a stunning waterfall, or the traditionally-built village of Kynopiastes, which is full of architecture dating back to the 17th century.
