8. Angel Falls – Venezuela
Southeastern Venezuela’s Angel Falls, also called El Salto Angel, in the Canaima National Park, is one of the most visited sites in South America. The water falls 3,212 feet from Auyan-Tepui, a flat-topped plateau that translates to “the devil’s mountain” in English. One of the tallest waterfalls in the world, adventurous visitors must hike for a considerable distance to view the site.
