Way before Will Smith starting fighting aliens in Independence Day, Canadians were already ready to go. They created a massive landing pad for aliens in St. Paul, Alberta in as early as 1967.
Don’t think that this event wasn’t of national importance either, as even Paul Hellyer, the country’s Minister of National Defense at the time, was present for the grand opening. Do Canadians know something that we don’t?
