Spending a long time in the airport can get pretty old pretty fast. Long layovers often hold the promise of a mini-exploration of a different country – however, most airports are located well outside of city limits and make these tiny trips pretty much impossible. But the real question is, if you’ve been in the country’s airport, does it really count as a visit? Many would say no, but my passport says yes.
