Art 101: Getting All the Feels

It’s not exactly fair to use that particular event to analyze the foreigners’ creative styles that day. They were out of their element. However, that little advice did a lot to boost my appreciation of a city that I sometimes struggle with. The city encouraged their artwork where most would deride it as vandalism. And with that backing, these artists brought their friends to spend a day creating together, most of which highlighted Bangkok as their home.

My favorite piece that I saw that day showed a figure spray painting the words “I love Thailand” (in Thai). Just like an artist’s choices tells you a lot about them, a city’s art tells you a lot about what it’s like to live there.
