13. Which Gadgets and Tools Will Make My Trip Easier?
If you have a smartphone, you’re already halfway there! With Google Maps and GPS, you’ll always know where you are and it’s nearly impossible to get lost. You should also have Uber/Lyft/Grab, just so you’re not scammed by sly local taxi drivers. And don’t forget Skyscanner and Airbnb, to check your flights and accommodation.
Make sure you have a money belt and, if possible, secret pockets in your pants, so you can hide your cash and credit/debit cards. Don’t forget travel adaptors to plug in your electronics, padlocks to protect your belongings and a quick-dry travel towel. And as soon as you leave the airplane, buy a local SIM card, so you have Internet from the get-go.
