There was once a railway network that stretched for miles underneath Sydney, Australia. It was shuttered, but instead of demolishing it, the government let it deteriorate. One area optimistically called Lake St. James is a stagnant body of water that has covered what was once Macquarie Station. Now, it’s home to a colony of gigantic albino eels.
