Borobudur

As the largest Buddhist temple in the world, Borobudur is a UNESCO Heritage Site dating back to the 8th century. Researchers believe it may have taken 75 years to build the structure, which consists of nine stacked platforms, decorated with 504 Buddha statues and 2,672 relief panels. Borobudur is Indonesia’s most visited attraction and it’s also where the Buddhist festival Vesak takes place.
