Upper Section of the Futaleufú River – Chile
The Futaleufú River in Chile and Patagonia is among the highest ranked whitewater kayaking destinations in the world. Often referred by locals as “the landscape painted by God,” the river is fed by glacial snow melt, and rages through the surrounding mountains. The most difficult and dangerous section of the river is the Upper section, which contains 6 class V rapids, and only for the very experienced.
