Although Little Donkey ultimately fell to Delicious Mexican Eatery for a spot in the fourth round, its unique location and techniques put it at the top of the third-round bracket. Little Donkey is located in Homewood, Alabama, and is run by chefs whose first endeavor was a made-from-scratch Southern barbecue restaurant. They brought their meat expertise to Little Donkey and used typical Mexican flavorings to create the perfect fillings for their burritos. The only aspect of their burritos that prevented them from moving on was their sub-par guacamole. The rest of the burrito, from the grilled tortilla to the amazing chili-laced carne adovada and light, flavorful salsas, received top ratings.

Can a burrito bowl be handsome? If so, this one qualifies. Little Donkey specializes in vibrant and tasty Mexican cuisine.
