Hitachi Seaside Park, which is located at the foot of the Pacific Ocean in the Ibaraki Prefecture of Japan, is made up of vast fields of cultivated flowers crisscrossed with bike trails, walking paths, and amusement parks. The most popular flower in the park is the blue nemophila, a flower whose sky-blue blooms regularly attract huge crowds when they bloom between late April and early May. Other fields are planted with lake tulips, narcissus, cosmos, and red kokia. Visiting the seaside park is an easy day trip from Tokyo.
