The illuminated structure includes modern innovations that improve acoustics, and enhance the experience of seeing a live performance. The Opera House regularly hosts performances of Chinese opera, Broadway musicals, as well as symphonic and pop music. Its completion cemented Guangzhou as China’s newest cultural capital.
