Grand Rapids has experienced a brain-gain in the last decade and half, with a 92.7% increase in college educated adults who’ve moved to the area since the year 2000. Now 30.6% percent of adults in Grand Rapids are college educated, partly in thanks to the many graduates of the nearby Grand Valley State University who have stayed to live and work in West Michigan.
