At the National Gingerbread House Competition, there are a few different categories including Adult, Teen, Youth, and Child. It seems remarkable, but it’s almost impossible to tell the difference between some of the adult entries and creations submitted by teens and youths.
In 2016, the winner of the Teen category was a group entry – an entire gingerbread village that was made by a high school club from Virginia. Not only did they create an amazingly detailed village scene, they also managed to make it look like the work of a single mind, rather than a collaboration.
