13. You Appreciate What You Have
One of the reasons people travel, and sometimes can’t stop traveling, is because it makes them humble. It literally puts things in perspective and forces them to reassess their priorities. While at home they might own lots of things, on the road travelers can live for months just carrying a small bag.
When you visit a village where people, despite living a simple life, are extremely happy, you realize you have everything you need to live a fulfilling life. At the end of the day, it’s not about your possessions, but your friends, family and all the people who are going to stand by your side when you need them.
