9. Consider Exploring a City by Bike
Amsterdam might be famous for its canals and progressive laws, but it also has a strong bike culture that bans vehicles from the city center. There are many other cities around the world that share the same ideals about traffic, allowing you to explore them on two wheels instead of four.
Most hotels have bicycles for you to rent, but if that’s not the case, it’s usually not hard to find places where you can rent one for the day. Some cities even have bike-sharing programs where you can pick a bike from one station, cycle around, and drop it somewhere else.
