Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes is a two-part series made up of two plays — Millenium Approaches and Perestroika. The story follows a group of characters in New York City in the middle of the 1980s AIDS epidemic.

These epic plays were written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner in 1991, and the current production, which stars Andrew Garfield, Nathan Lane, and Lee Pace, started at London’s Royal National Theatre before it transferred to Broadway in February 2018. This bold, neon-tinged production has received rave reviews, and was recently nominated for 11 Tony Awards.
