11. Mostar – Bosnia & Herzegovina
Nestled in the southwest of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mostar is a charming little town boasting cosmopolitan architecture. It has a population of around 110,000 people and is considered to be a multicultural town.
It’s famous for the Stari Most – the Old Bridge – which was built by the Ottomans in the 16th century and was destroyed during the Bosnian war. It was rebuilt in 2004 and now it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Another popular attraction is Koski Mehmed Paša Mosque, which dates back to the 17th century.
