15. Copacabana – Bolivia
Copacabana is a small town with only 6,000 citizens and lies on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. The name means “the view of the lake” in the Aymara language, spoken by indigenous people in the Andes.
It’s also a popular resort town for travelers and locals alike. Most visitors go to Copacabana to take a boat tour and explore Isla del Sol, the largest island on Lake Titicaca. It’s also possible to climb nearby Cerro Calvario hill and witness an amazing sunset overlooking the lake.
