Tower of Hercules – Spain
The Tower of Hercules in Spain owns the honorable distinction of being the oldest Roman lighthouse still in use today. Although the years may have muddied the particulars, the 185-foot tall structure dates back to 117 CE. It’s a World Heritage Site, one of the oldest existing lighthouses in the world, and has been in constant use since the second century.
