Overtoun Bridge

Located in West Dumbarton, this bridge has been the site of many suicides of both humans and dogs. There was even an investigation to determine why so many dogs have leapt to their deaths from the same exact spot on the bridge. A canine psychologist eventually determined that the overwhelming smell from mink in the area might lure dogs with powerful senses of smell to their deaths, but this is disputed by locals who claim that there is no mink native to the region. A sign was recently erected warning people to keep their dogs on a leash when crossing over the bridge.
