Holyrood Palace
Although it seems like there aren’t many Scottish castles where a murder didn’t take place, there are very few where people can still see the evidence. Holyrood Palace is located in Edinburgh just south of Edinburgh Castle, and is the site of the murder of David Rizzio, the alleged lover of Mary, Queen of Scots. He was stabbed over 50 times as he hid behind Mary, and to this day people swear that they can still see the blood stain on the floor in the room where he was killed.
