Night at the Museum: The Most Visited Museums
4. National Air and Space Museum – Washington, D.C., USA
The National Air and Space Museum is another building in the massive Smithsonian complex in Washington, D.C. This museum focuses on — you guessed it — air and space artifacts, history, and technology. It’s an amazing museum to visit with children since it has the largest collection of historical aircrafts in the world, and plenty of space for kids to run around and explore.
The museum regularly sees an average of 6-7 million visitors per year. Even though it’s only been around since 1946, the National Air and Space Museum rapidly established itself as one of the most important air and space research centers in the world. Some of their most popular exhibits are the Apollo 11 command module and the Wright brothers’ original plane.
