Although we’re used to seeing American bourbon and rye being manufactured in the Southern states, Westland Distillery was one of the first companies to open up a single-malt whiskey distillery farther north. Westland Distillery is actually almost as far north in America as you can go since their base of operations is in Seattle, Washington.

Their entire line of spirits is distilled in their small facility in downtown Seattle, and visitors can come either for a tour, or to the Cantilever Room — an airy, rustic cocktail bar that they have on-site. Sample a flight of their whiskey along with some amazing charcuterie and snacks from the Pacific Northwest or sign up for a tutored whiskey tasting with one of their experts.
