The Best Distilleries in the USA
6. WhistlePig
Another American distillery that has had the audacity to move out of the Southern bourbon belt is WhistlePig, which is busily producing incredible rye whiskey out of their distillery in Vermont. They grow all the rye on their farm in Vermont’s Champlain Valley, and every aspect of their creation process is done by hand, from the design of the copper stills to the coopering of their wooden aging barrels. Currently, they have three different whiskeys on the market — their 10-year, 12-year, and 15-year — which have all consistently received rave reviews from whiskey publications and awards from across the world.
