About two months into our study abroad in England, one of my friends craved sunshine. She immediately booked tickets to Barcelona (and dragged me along for the adventure). It was so refreshing to stand in the sun and enjoy blue skies before returning to England’s winter cold.

The reverse can also be true–sometimes I find myself craving rainy days to enjoy warm tea inside a good ol’ British cottage. The weather can be a welcome change.
