7. You Can Check In Any Time
Even if you have a reservation at a hostel or hotel, it does not mean that you can check in at any time day or night. Worst case, you’re thinking they will have a nice lobby you can wait in — wrong. In many cases, you may not even be able to enter the building and will spend your early morning or late night on the curb (it happens, believe me). If you anticipate getting in super late or super early, see if there is any way your key or door code can be provided ahead of time or left in a secret spot.
