1. Wingsuit Flying – Kjerag, Norway
Franz Reichelt was one of the first people to attempt wingsuit flying in 1912 from the Eiffel Tower. However, he, unfortunately, didn’t survive the fall. Suits continued to be developed throughout the years, but they only became commercially available in 1999.
The average speed of wingsuit flying is 160 km/h, but the world record is currently 374.8 km/h. Kjerag is a 1,110-meter tall mountain in the Forsand municipality and a popular spot for climbers and those who practice BASE wingsuit flying, when the pilot jumps off a cliff instead of a plane.
