6. Village – Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
The tiny village in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is not named, but in real life, the village where the movie was filmed is called Hongcun. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site, because of its age and the historic carvings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties that adorn many of the residences. The layout of the village is thought to look like an ox, with a hill as its head and two trees for horns.
