9. Lady Catherine’s Home – Pride and Prejudice
If you’re a literature or film buff planning on visiting England, a few stops at some of the various filming locations for Pride and Prejudice are definitely in order. One of the most spectacular, which was used in the 2005 film version, is Burghley House, which stands in for Lady Catherine de Bourgh house Rosing Park. The giant mansion was erected in 1555, and is made of such strong material that simple etchings made on the stones at the time of construction are still visible, despite over 450 years of wear and tear.
