The National Museum of the Marine Corps traces the history of America’s Marines since their founding in 1775. These able men and women, who are trained to fight both on land and at sea, are one of the most elite branches of the U.S. Army. T
he museum is located in Quantico, Virginia, where the FBI, DEA, and Marine Corps all train. There are several permanent exhibitions on display at the museum as well as three new exhibits that opened in 2010. Admission is free.
