The Indian War Memorial Museum appears small from the outside, but manages to pack centuries of Indian military history into just a few rooms inside the ancient Naubat Khana, the drum house inside the Red Fort. The drum house was meant to house musicians, who would play music to announce guests, and at certain hours of the day to keep time.

The exhibitions of the Indian War Memorial Museum currently take up two floors of the drum house and chronicle the different wars that have happened over the course of history in India. They have several sets of truly ancient authentic clothing and armaments that are centuries old.
