One of the most detailed museums in the United States is the National Naval Aviation Museum, which is located at the Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida. The museum is full of exhibits and artifacts cataloguing the history of the naval aviation service.
Their archives include over 150 aircraft and spacecrafts that have been used by military officials, including the Curtiss NC-4 which was the first plane to cross the Atlantic Ocean. There is no charge for the museum, but there is an IMAX theater on-site which requires a ticket.
