Takiya – Tokyo
Tokyo is full of amazing restaurants tucked into tiny little back alleys, and Takiya is no different. Located behind a nondescript door in Roppongi, it only serves 14 patrons at a time.
Opened by chef Kasamoto in 2015, Takiya is a tempura restaurant, focused mainly on seafood. The chef personally sources the best seafood he can find and loves to talk with guests about what he’s serving. Unlike many traditional tempura restaurants in Tokyo, Takiya has an amazing wine list, and serves up amazing desserts in addition to their incredible seafood offerings.
