This house, which is often simply called Fairfield Pond, was built by American billionaire Ira Rennert in upstate New York. The house takes its name from Fairfield Pond, the body of water that adjoins the house.

Fairfield Pond caused major controversy during construction. There were rumors going around that Rennert stole money from one of his companies to finance the house, and was forced to pay back $118 million. The house itself covers almost two acres of land, has its own 164-seat theater, and is worth over $248 million.
