Yemen has been named one of the five worst countries to be a child in. Like Syria, child soldiers are common there and an estimated 800 children have been recruited to war just in the last year.

In 2015, approximately 2000 children were killed or injured in Yemen’s civil war, a statistic that increased six fold from the previous year. In addition to war causalities, children there are subjected to severe malnutrition and a lack of clean water.
