Cultured Palate: Dishes from Greece

Souvlaki

Souvlaki is a fast food that can be found all over the world, but its popularity isn’t a recent phenomenon. Greek people have been eating souvlaki for centuries, as evidenced by the purpose-built grills excavated in Santorini which date back to the 17th century.
