1. Turkmenistan Airlines

Turkmenistan Airlines is a small national airline operating out of Turkmenistan’s Ashgabat International Airport. They service 23 different locations, and have consistently ranked among the world’s worst airlines, mostly due to their outdated and uncomfortable fleet of airplanes. It was only in 2009 that they started trying to phase out their Soviet-era planes and replace them with larger and more modern Boeing 717s.

Their staff are routinely unable to help passengers in any language, and the experience of flying in their economy cabin is well known around the world as one of the worst in-air experiences you can have.
