This unique flavor is a signature creation of Jeni Britton Bauer, who runs the ice cream empire known as Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. She created Yazoo Sue with Rosemary Bar Nuts as a tribute to Nashville’s Yazoo Brewing Co. It features a base of ice cream flavored with their Yazoo Sue porter, which has strong notes of cherry and woodsmoke. To finish, Jeni laced the ice cream with handfuls of bar nuts — peanuts, almonds, pecans, and cashews dusted with rosemary, salt, and cayenne.
