The Weirdest Ice Cream Flavors from Around the World
Coronation Chicken
In 2012, Gelupo gelato shop in London, England released a special flavor to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The creative minds behind this gelato shop’s unique flavors decided to create their craziest concoction yet — a Coronation Chicken flavor, which was inspired by a popular sandwich that was served at Queen Elizabeth’s coronation banquet.
The ice cream featured chicken jus blended in with the regular ice cream base, along with raisins soaked in Marsala, and a special blend of curry powder. You can get it either in a cup, or between two slices of toasted bread, in an homage to the sandwich that inspired the flavor.
