Ingleborough Nature Trail – Yorkshire Dales
Ingleborough is a unique place in Yorkshire that has been shaped by the influence of botanist Reginald Farrer, who planted hundreds of unique new species of plants in the moorlands near his home in Clapham.
The Ingleborough Nature Trail passes through this area, as well as the spectacular Ingleborough Cave – a massive limestone cave that stretches for over half a mile. Although you’ll have to pay an entrance fee to the cave, it’s worth it for the experience of seeing the massive underground structure, complete with a waterfall, as well as stalagmites and stalactites that have been forming there for hundreds of millions of years.
