Why You Should Consider Slow Travel
| September 3, 2018
1. You’ll Have a Better Understanding of the Culture
At the end of the day, slow travel is about making an effort to embrace another culture with open arms. But it’s also important to be a respectful visitor, so that the locals welcome you in their communities.
However, this can only be achieved with careful exploration, observation, and more importantly, by building trust. Ideally, this would take several years, but as it’s not entirely feasible for everybody, just make sure you’re not just another mindless tourist, but someone who actually cares about foreign cultures.
