Why You Should Consider Slow Travel
| September 3, 2018
9. It Can Be an Inexpensive Way of Traveling
Slow travel is not necessarily about saving money, but it is one of its benefits. As you stay in the same place for longer, you’re already saving on transportation, but most of the time you’ll also save on accommodations as you can negotiate long-term discounts.
You’re more likely to find your apartment or cottage through local agencies or word of mouth instead of booking hotels or resorts. In that way, you won’t be charged the inflated tourist prices and you can enjoy a low-rent stay. Sometimes you might even do some housesitting for someone, which basically means you won’t pay for anything!
