11. The Cathedral of St. Agatha, Catania
Because of nearby Mount Etna’s frequent eruptions, this stunning cathedral has been rebuilt many times. The current iteration features a three-tiered façade supported by statue-topped columns. The blue-tinted stone makes the cathedral a unique landmark, but it’s the interior along with the Chapel of Saint Agatha and tomb of Vincenzo Bellini that makes this building truly magnificent.
