5. Elf School
Translated into Icelandic as Álfaskólinn, the Elf School of Iceland is where people go if they want to learn about folklore and the different types of Icelandic elves. Although there are many Icelandic citizens who think it’s all nonsense, among the Icelandic there is a much higher than average number of people who believe in fairies and elves. These people believe that the rugged landscape of Iceland hides these magical creatures, but that they can take an interest in the lives of humans if they so choose. In addition to semester-long classes, the school offers a single five-hour seminar for those who are just a little bit curious.
